Southern Shnat is targeted towards participants from the southern hemisphere. In recent years we have had participants from Australia, new Zeeland, South Africa and Argentina. Our goal for the future is to create an even more diverse group. The program begins at the end of January and runs until the end of November. The year is organized as follows:
Etgar or Machon
Nativ 1- option period
Nativ 2- Kibbutz or Shnat B'Ir
Seminar Manhigut (leadership)- Summary seminar
Throughout the year there are additional seminars that focus on the Reform movement, spirituality and Israel, as well as Seminar Am (literally meaning nation) a seminar in Poland.
Descriptions of each part of the year exist in the overview of the Shnat Netzer program.

To develop leadership within the Netzer and the wider Jewish community while developing participants' understanding of, engagement with and commitment to Netzer's ideology. Through the Shnat Netzer experience we aim to create a Progressive Jewish and Progressive Zionist hagshama experience, to develop an ongoing relationship with the land, people and State of Israel and to encourage the personal growth of the participants.
